Over the last three years, we have helped the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement (CBFA) spread the word about its ambitious goal to sustainably manage Canada’s expansive boreal forest.

This has included the development and support of a new website, traditional media relations, social media campaigns, public outreach and event management.

We created a two-pronged strategic communications approach that focused simultaneously on promoting CBFA achievements while advancing its educational mandate.

Central to this was the On the Move campaign, conducted in partnership with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. It featured a giant 8- by 11-metre floor map of Canada’s boreal forest, which served as the centrepiece of a national and international educational and outreach tour. The tour included event stops in Ottawa, Peterborough, Toronto, Winnipeg, Prince Albert, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Rome, Italy and Durban, South Africa.

We promoted each event through positive traditional and social media campaigns, speaking engagements, web articles, photographs and videos.

In doing so, we put the CBFA on the map!
